What to Include in Your Message

To help us understand and resolve your issue faster, please include:

• A clear description of the problem or suggestion.
• Steps to reproduce (for bugs): what you did, what you expected, what happened.
• The text you were analyzing (for counting issues) — or a minimal example that triggers the problem.
• Your browser and version (e.g., Chrome 120, Firefox 115, Safari 17).
• Your operating system (e.g., Windows 11, macOS 14, iOS 17, Android 14).
• Whether you were using light or dark theme.
• Any error messages from the browser console (F12 → Console).

Response Time

This is a free, open-source utility maintained in spare time. We do not guarantee a response time or that every message will receive a reply. We read all messages and prioritize:

• Accessibility regressions and security concerns.
• Counting logic bugs with clear reproduction steps.
• Crashes or data-loss scenarios.

Feature requests and general feedback are appreciated but may not receive a direct response.

No Contact Form

Real Word Count does not include a contact form. Forms require backend infrastructure (or a third-party service) to process submissions, which would introduce dependencies, potential data handling, and operational complexity contrary to the project's simplicity and privacy principles.
